Dai Shihan Sig Kufferath
Professor Kufferath, Dai Shihan, is a true legend. Some of the honors bestowed upon him are as follows: Elected sole Professor in 1952, of Danzan Ryu by the American Jujitsu Institute after the passing of his teacher Professor Henry Okazaki; Hall of fame Jujitsu America,1986; Jujitsu America, 10th degree black belt, Sept. 1987; Kodenkan Yudanshakai, 10th degree black belt, Sept. 1988; American Jujitsu Institute 10th degree black belt, 1993; International Chinese Kenpo 10th degree black belt, Oct. 1994; Living Arts Treasure for Total Life Commitment to Martial Arts, Jan. 1995; World Head of Family - Sokeship - Mar. 1995; Hall of Fame Danzan Ryu Jujitsu awarded by Imi Okazaki-Mullins, 1995. Goshin-Jitsu, Chow Hoon 60 years of excellence, 1995; Grand Master Kodenkan Yudanshakai, Jan. 1996; Head of the Pacific Coast Kilohana Assoc., Aug. 1996; UWMAF Hall of Fame, 1997.
Professor Kufferath passed away at his home in Santa Clara, CA on May 7, 1999 with his family and friends at his side.
