Senior Instructor Poh Kheng Loi
Poh Kheng Loi, a native of Singapore presently working as the Director of Histology, is both an academician and a senior-level instructor in the Chinese martial arts.
She was a physical education instructor and national athlete representing Singapore in Kayak and Dragon boat racing before coming to the United States.
Holding a Doctorate degree in Biology and a Master degree in Physical Education; Ms. Loi brings a unique fusion of science and practicality to the martial arts.
She is presently a senior-level instructor of Kung Fu, Tai chi and women self defense (one-on-one) at David Leung Chinese Martial Arts Academy and Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon. Ms. Loi has traveled around the world to China, Hong Kong, London, Spain, and across the U.S. assisting Master Leung in his Wing Chun and Tai Chi workshops. She regularly works as assistant/interpreter for masters in China as well as those visiting the U.S.
Her skills as a martial arts instructor was recognized and she was appointed to the position of Chief Instructor by the World Wide Association of Internal Chinese Martial Arts (WWICMA), an organization compromised of 26 countries based in Shanghai, China.
