Kru Pornsak Luerngchaimongkol grew up in the tough back streets of Bangkok, Thailand. Starting from the age of 3 years old, he learned the art of Muay Boran from Ajarn (Grandmaster) Somsamai Chaimongkol, his uncle. Muay Boran, an art all but lost in Thailand, is to Muay Thai what Jujitsu is to Judo – a parent art encompassing not only kicking and boxing but also striking, grappling, and weapons.

Upon moving to the United States as a young man, Kru Pornsak continued his martial studies achieving a 5th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, a 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and a 2nd degree black belt in Hapkido.
