Bio

Suro Jason Inay is the Grand Master of Inayan Eskrima (so designated by Mangisursuro Mike Inay, the founder of Inayan) and the foremost authority and practitioner of Inayan Eskrima today, like his father before him.

Suro J. Inay has taught the styles of the Inayan System of Eskrima in the United States, Canada, Scotland, France, Spain, England, and Germany. The diverse styles of Inayan Eskrima cover single stick-medium range, single stick-long range, hand-foot-knife, vital strikes, double stick, sword and dagger, and much more. Suro Inay teaches the styles separately and also illustrates how they work as a system. (The styles are known as Inayan Serrada, Inayan Larga Mano, Inayan Kadena De Mano, Inayan Siniwali, Inayan Dequerdas, Inayan Espada Y Daga, and other course material.)

Bringing the art to diverse venues as well as a wide audience of self-preservation enthusiasts, he presents curriculum sought by many. Both military personnel and Law Enforcement Officers seek out the I.T.O. (Inayan Training Organization) programs and training methods taught by Suro J. Inay. He has also brought self-preservation skills and programs to High Schools around the U.S.A. as well as such prestigious educational facilities as Heathfield School for Girls Ascot, England and Queen's College for Girls London, England. Suro Jason has also taught many times at Aachen University in Germany.

Starting formal training at the age of six, Suro J. Inay has trained under some of the best names in Filipino Martial Arts, all of whom he calls his "Uncles" as his father Mike Inay guided him in his pedigree in the martial arts. "The Originals" of Stockton California, Mangisursuro Mike Inay, Master Al Concepcion, Master Jimmy Tacosa, and Inayan Guro Remi Estrella are all his teachers and helped form this dynamic martial artist into what he is today. In addition he has trained with Maha Guro Dan Inosanto, Professor James Muro, and Instructor Dave Burt. Suro J. Inay also owes a great deal of his training and knowledge to Inayan Sursuro John Peterson, Inayan Masirib Guro Frank Difanti, and Guro Rob McDonald.

Suro J. Inay teaches the Inayan System of Eskrima, the proper name of Inayan Eskrima, with pride and distinguished insight. He brings a unique and enlightening perspective to both the contemporary elements and traditional methods of Eskrima-Kali-Arnis. As Head of the family art known to most as Inayan Eskrima, Executive Director of the Inayan Training Organization (www.inayan-eskrima.com), and the Director of Weapons Training for the Kilohana Martial Arts Association, Suro J. Inay represents both Inayan Martial Arts and Filipino Martial Arts in general with integrity and insight.
