Kilohana announced the 2010 award recipients at the annual Awards Banquet held at Chez Sovan in Campbell CA on Saturday November 13th. This years recipients are as follows:

• Legend Award - Sifu David Leung, Professor Tom Jenkins, Assoc. Profesor Al Ikemoto
  This award is given to martial artists of senior rank and status who stand out amongst their peers and time and is voted on by the Kilohana Stardards and Executive Boards.
• Bruce Raney Award - Sensei Gina Rossi, Kevin Donahue
  This award is given to two individuals, one female and one male, who are nominated by their instructors and voted on by the Kilohana Standards Board. Criteria for this award includes outstanding attendance at Kilohana events and dedication to hard and serious training.  Recipients are awarded full scholarship to all Kilohana events for one year.
  
• Instructor of the Year - Sensei Eddie Gearhart
  This award is given to an up and coming instructor who has demonstrated dedication to propagating their arts, moral integrity, outstanding technical knowledge, and support of Kilohana events.
• Kimo Hatchi Award - Logan Olson
  This award is given to youth students (under the age of 14) who demonstrate dedication to their arts, respect to their instructors, and the ability to focus and train hard.
• Kufferath Award - Associate Professor Hans Ingebretsen
  This award is given to an individual who embodies Prof. Kufferath’s dedication to their art. 
  
• Ohana Award - Helen Sassone, Brian Sassone
  This award is given in recognition of selfless dedication and service to the Kilohana Martial Arts Association.
• President's Award - Professor Richard Pietrelli, Professor Mike Esmailzadeh
  This award is given by the President of Kilohana to honor people who have been integral to their personal development and/or is a personal inspirational figure.
